Julie Andrews will be a part of Carol Burnett’s 90th birthday celebration on a big NBC special.

In honor of Carol Burnett’s 90th birthday in April, NBC will broadcast a two-hour program featuring Julie Andrews and other A-list celebrities.

Celebrate Burnett’s Birthday
According to the Daily Mail, NBC has officially approved the name “Carol Burnett: 90 Years Of Laughter + Love” for the jubilee special. Along with Andrews and other famous people like Amy Poehler, Cher, Ellen DeGeneres, Kristen Wiig, and more, there will be performances by Bernadette Peters and Katy Perry

Burnett told Deadline, “I’m so happy NBC chose to give me a birthday party and called all of my closest pals. “I feel so fortunate to be able to share this night with everyone, and I can’t wait to look back at so many amazing moments throughout my career.”
Executive producer Mark Bracco continued, “This special is going to be the greatest celebration ever. “There will be comedy, singing, and a ton of big-name celebrities giving homage to the one and only Carol Burnett. We can’t wait for everyone at home to join us in our celebration.

On April 26, Burnett’s birthday, the show will broadcast on NBC; following that, it will be streamable on Peacock.
Despite having a long career in Hollywood, Burnett is best known for the CBS entertainment show “The Carol Burnett Show,” which she hosted from 1967 to 1978. President George W. Bush later awarded her the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2005.

Carol Burnett, 89, explains how she fought valiantly to get “The Carol Burnett Show” on television.
Burnett and Andrews’ friendship
Although Burnett will undoubtedly appreciate the complete special, spending time with Andrews, with whom she has been friends for many years, will definitely be one of the highlights. Oh my god, she is such a wonderful friend, I agree! Burnett was once quoted by Andrews in People Magazine. And when we get together, I’m the wicked lady, you know. She is the calm one, but she brings out the humor in me. It’s very humorous.

While waiting for their director buddy Mike Nichols at a fundraiser in the 1960s, Andrews and Burnett were captured kissing as a joke. It was one of their funniest stunts.
The hotel was fairly crowded because it was Lyndon Johnson’s inauguration, but Andrews remembered that it was peaceful at that hour. “We made the decision to wait for Mike while seated on a couch in front of the stairs. I promise I can’t recall which of us made the decision to act foolishly when Mike stepped out of the lift. So one of us suggested that we start kissing or something.

Before the elevator, the two pals shared a “big embrace,” but when it opened, they noticed that it was “simply packed with Secret Service men.” The elevator continued to open several times, but Nichols was still nowhere to be seen.

Julie Andrews surprises fans by revealing that Carol Burnett caught her in a compromised position.
It was a wonderful moment.
Then, when the woman down the hall realized it might be us, she returned, according to Carol, it was woman Bird Johnson. By this point, we both had tears streaming down our cheeks from laughing so hard that Carol had to go around the back of the sofa we were seated on.

“The woman approached and asked, “Excuse me, are you Carol Burnett? ” while peering over the back of the couch. Yes, and this is my buddy Mary Poppins, Carol immediately responded. It was a wonderful occasion, she added.
